First Official Post

Hello All,

Looks like this semester is going to be better than the last one because...

There's real sliced fruit in the dining hall! As of this afternoon the bite sized pieces of melon, famous for their single debut during breakfast rush, are being served all day. Albeit it's bad tasting melon (rock melon, my darling Australian boyfriend would kill me if I didn't say that, a.k.a cantaloupe for us Americans), not all that fresh, tastes a bit like the pineapple juice they put it in, and the chefs never replace it when there's no more, so students must rush to get even a small plateful... Uh... where was I going with this? Oh, right. There's sliced fruit in the dining hall!!!

So, on another point, I just ordered some groceries off of Amazon. My generous parents gave me an allowance that allowed me to get some Annie Chun's phó flavored noodle soup, IZZE (sparkling juice, for all those that are not in on the know), and some sample flavors of Pop Chips. Hopefully with the left over money, I'll be able to go to Whole Foods and get some better tasting, fresher produce. Any suggestions for some kinds of fruit a college student on a budget should buy? (I'd really appreciate the advice!)

Auf Wiedersehen!

  1. buy dried fruits and nuts. treats that last pretty indefinitely if kept in dry places and are far more sustaining than other foods!
