Grading Food

Hey All!

Here's a quote from a recent conversation I had with some other students in the dining hall: "You know the food is bad when you grade it as either edible or non-edible."

Think about that.

Edible or non-edible? Should we really be eating food that is considered one or the other? How about something delicious? Satisfying? Full of flavor (or flavour for you non-Americans out there)? Or even tasty? Sounds more appetizing, right? There's a reason why advertisers and critics use those words when describing how something tastes. It just makes the dish more mouth watering. And is that a crime? Well, perhaps it is in the world of college dining hall food.

So I challenge all those innovative chefs and famous foodies out there, recreate college dining hall food into healthier, greener, more appetizing, scrumptious, delectable, and just plain old good cuisine. You think you can handle that proposition?

P.S.  A question for all you Top Chef fans out there. Wouldn't my idea make a great quick fire challenge? (Leave your answers in the comment section and I'll get back to you!)

Bis Morgen!
