11 Months

Hey All!

Today's a special day. It was exactly 11 months ago that my boyfriend and I started dating. So as a tribute to that AMAZING day, I've decided to post a blog about the first food experiences we had together. Before we started dating.

The first major one was at Beard Papa. We had just finished roaming around Central Park (what all native New York teenagers do) and we were starving. He suggested cream puffs at Beard Papa, which was relatively close by. Since I had never tried cream puffs before I agreed. The bakery was small and intimate like all bakeries should be. And the cream puffs were delectable. Not just because he paid for them though. After we left Beard Papa, I remember thinking to myself, "Wow. A guy who knows how to eat and pays for me. Does he get any better?" But this was just the first time we hung out outside of school and it was too soon to tell that he does get better. Much better.

The second one was Ben and Jerry's at my house. We had the Dublin Mudslide flavour. And when we finished that pint, we went for the Strawberry Cheesecake flavour. Between the both of us, we ate 4 mugs of ice cream! Hyped up with all the sugar we spent the rest of the time together jumping on my bed and giggling away on my couch. Again, I remember thinking to myself, "Wow. Someone who can keep up with my ice cream eating ability. He does get better. But can he get even better?"

Now, 11 months later I know that he can get even better. Day after day, I find more and more reasons to adore him. And I don't think it will ever cease.

And for all those who are skeptical of long distance relationships or are in one and doubting your decision: It is possible to make it work! My darling boyfriend and I are proof of that. So Happy Anniversary dearest! To another 11,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 more months!

Bis Morgen!

  1. I'm surprised you left out the whole Beard Papa story, since you like to rub it in my nose so much! Very cute post :)
All the nice sugary foods you mentioned were delicious, especially giving the extraordinary company.
And to all those wondering how to get your hands on some cream puffs for your self/girl/guy, it's between 76th and 77th streets in Manhattan, NYC. Look for the little yellow awning. You won't be disappointed.

  2. And remember it's on the opposite block of Ruby Foo's. Next to Grom. Another fabulous dessert place.
