Cultural Ecology

Hey All!

I just got out of my Cultural Ecology class. For those of you wondering what the heck cultural ecology is, here is a great example of something culturally ecologically food related. American Fast Food Changing. The article is about the changing views of fast food in the US. It is slowly but surely becoming an invention of the past. There is a huge movement towards higher quality foods for the same low prices. So, although the poor are still having trouble affording the "healthier" options, they understand the overwhelming importance of better quality foods. This is the beginning of a huge switch in American food culture. Within the next decade or so, healthier foods will become the norm rather than McDonalds, Taco Bell, and KFC. We can thank Subway (or Jared) and Chipotle for that. So, the next time you pass a restaurant serving healthier food options at a lower price, stop in and add your stomach to the growing movement.
